We Make It Our Business to Award Scholarships

Latin Business teams up with the Edinburgh Business School to award Hispanic Heritage M.B.A. Scholarships.

The Edinburgh Business School (EBS) of Heriot-Watt University, a Royal Charter University in Scotland with U.S.-based headquarters in Coral Gables, Florida, in conjunction with Latin Business magazine, will award two Hispanic Heritage M.B.A. Scholarships this fall to deserving Hispanic American students who want to advance their education and profession. The value of each scholarship is $15,000 and they will be presented to the recipients at the 2006 Latin Business Spirit Awards Gala on October 12 in Los Angeles. Candidates will be chosen for their individual professional accomplishments in their respective fields, as well as their community involvement.

The great majority of degreed business people, due to professional obligations over the years, have not had the opportunity to participate in a traditional M.B.A. course of study. The EBS’s distance-learning, self-paced M.B.A. degree program provides graduate students with a quality higher education and greater future opportunities, all while meeting current job-related obligations.

The Edinburgh Business School M.B.A. program is the result of many years of research at Stanford University on the different ways in which students learn, and the changing demands placed on modern-day professionals. The result has been one of the most successful international M.B.A. programs, listed among Ivy League schools for the past 17 years in The Economist’s “Which M.B.A.: A Critical Guide to the World’s Best Programs.”

The EBS Web site has detailed information about the school and its M.B.A. programs, and can be found at www.ebsglobal.net.
