Implementation:

The growth strategy utilized by the founders and leadership of CIES Brazil and now CIES Global can be described as one of “strength in adversity” while initiating much needed health services in the face of the economic and political crisis.

The organizational mission is based on Christian values and a “DNA of Love” that declares that all humans are entitled to compassionate, high quality healthcare and preventive services in a respectful environment that is socially and culturally sensitive and family centric.

CIES organization has flourished by partnering with faith based organizations (Christian Churches) in both Brazil and Atlanta, Latin American community organizations such as the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Consulates of Atlanta, Miami and Boston as well as U.S. Non-Governmental Organizations such as Methodist Church of Coral Beach –Miami and UNITE of Presbyterian Perimeter Church-Atlanta and the Council of Hispanic Pastors of the Southeast.

Many of these organizations have forwarded invitations to implement the CIES Global Project to serve communities in need in Florida and Georgia.

In early 2016, CIES Global was inaugurated in South Florida, and in October 2016, the first international operation of a CIES Global Heath Unit was inaugurated in Atlanta Georgia, United States with the first medical mobile unit container truck manufactured in Miami with Brazilian technology.

The CIES Global Atlanta “Phase I” project from October 2016 to February 2017 has provided “Preventive Medicine Program” screening services to more than 400 people in need from the surrounding Cobb County Georgia community.

Phase I

Phase I was an experimental phase as differences in the U.S. market and manufacturing and provision of health services were determined and adjustments made.  PMP services were offered through a Brazilian Church gratis during this period.

Phase II

“Phase II” of the CIES Global Atlanta project is well underway as a needs assessment aimed at identifying underserved areas and deficiencies in the health care delivery system locally has begun.

As in many US metropolitan counties and regions, even affluent areas, large segments of the population experience health disparities with lack access to quality preventive services and healthy inequities with regards to critical health services including vision and hearing screening, ophthalmologic services, dentistry, screening for cardiovascular disease, CV equivalents (Type II Diabetes and Peripheral Vascular Disease – PVD) and malignancies of the Pulmonary, GI, mammary and prostate systems.

Additionally, manufacturing of the Health Box’s is being transitioned from South Florida to Atlanta Georgia for coordination and quality control.

In summary, the initial Atlanta, USA experience screening patients using a stream lined “Preventive Medicine Protocol” has had strong initial success during Phase I of health service delivery.

The PMP program has identified that the same issues with regard to health disparities and limited health access exists in the metropolitan Atlanta area as well as much of the urban US.

In summary

In summary, the diverse minority populations in the U.S., many having lived in the US for decades now, remain largely isolated and unable to access high quality, compassionate care of vital health services they need for optimal health, many times because of cultural, language or economic barriers.

CIES Global hopes to address these issues by providing an alternate model for delivering highly efficient, innovative and most importantly compassionate care to all citizens.

CIES Global continues to seek interested corporate business partners such as major health payers, health systems and private corporations that also place high value on the health and wellness of their employees as a strategic goal and desire to partner with CIES to accomplish those metrics.

In part 2 we’ll cover Thinking Inside the Health Box:  Brazil’s C.I.E.S. (Center for Integrated Education and Health) Going Global: PART II we’ll cover Growth Strategies, and integration of the Global Business Model- tired mobile health screening and servives
