New Year’s Day babies get their Scarlet blankets …

I was riveted to my couch yesterday watching some amazing college football match-ups and hoping that the BIG 10 bowl worthy teams would pull through and make us proud….that they did!

With Michigan State coming back in the 4th quarter from an unbelievable 20 point deficit to beat the Baylor Bears by 1 point in the Cotton Bowl and Wisconsin’s nail biting 34-31 win over Auburn…..it only helped to spur The Ohio State Buckeyes to an “unexpected by many” victory over #1 ranked Alabama in the late night Sugar Bowl! The stadium was a sea of Scarlet & Crimson and with a bit of a rough start for the Buckeyes, they managed to come back from a 15 point deficit in the first half and just keep rolling towards a victory!

None of the BIG 10 teams were given the odds to win their games–all were underdogs! That includes  Rutgers and Penn State who went on to win their bowl games as well. What a great year for BIG 10 football!

So now we have to patiently wait another week to get ready for the final game on January 12th against Oregon to determine the season’s national champion.

Bucks VS. Ducks

Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl Winners!

Until then, I’m just going to watch my DVR’d recording watching The Ohio State making the Crimson Tide bleed……oh it is so much fun to watch!

Get ready Oregon…..Duck season is open!!!!
