The U.S. Woman of Achievement recognizes Latin Biz Today partner leadership team member Johanna Godinez

For the first time since its inception in 2011 the Woman of Achievement pageant will host a queen from Puerto Rico in its National competition held this weekend at the Pacific Palms Resort in City of Industry California.

Our very own Johanna Godínez has been nominated and crowned to represent Puerto Rico in the Mrs Woman of Achievement Pageant whose mission is to recognize y develop women leaders in their communities.  This three day event women will represent their passion, community service initiatives and the way they are working towards elevating humanity.

There will be interviews, speeches, their platform and excellence in school, arts or service to others.

Johanna Godínez is being recognized for her participation in supporting causes such as Verdiazul eco conservation in Costa Rica, Quetzaltrkkers and educating children in Nicaragua, as well as her continued involvement with Defy Ventures and business development for formerly incarcerated individuals in California.

Johanna’s passion is elevating the vibration of the collective through the philosophy and lifestyle of yoga. She uses her passion to educate others on how to apply yoga beyond what we think of on a yoga mat and into the way we think and approach every second and situation of our lives.

Johanna has developed B.A.Y. Lifestyle and Beyond Asana Yoga School, through which she aims to disseminate the practice of yoga to individuals desiring to incorporate a new lifestyle and to future yoga teachers internationally certifying them to lead others in the practice.Currently Johanna is working on creating a college curriculum so yoga philosophy can be taught as an elective in colleges in Puerto Rico.
