Denver DMAThe City and County of Denver is the capital and the most populous city of the U.S. state of Colorado. Denver is a consolidated city-county, located in the South Platte River Valley on the western edge of the High Plains just east of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. Denver is nicknamed the “Mile-High City” because its official elevation is exactly one mile or 5,280 feet above sea level.
Denver’s economy is based partially on its geographic position and its connection to some of the major transportation systems of the country. Denver has become a natural location for storage and distribution of goods to all western U.S. states.
Houston DMA
Houston is the second largest DMA in Texas, after Dallas and has the largest Hispanic population among DMAÂ’s in the state. Houston is certainly a multicultural city, in part because of its many academic institutions and strong industries as well as being a major port city. The city has among the youngest populations in the nation, partly due to an influx of immigrants into the area. The metropolitan area is home to an estimated 1.3 million (20 percent) residents who were born outside the United States (more than Dallas), and over two-thirds of the area’s foreign-born population is Hispanic. Additionally, more than one in five foreign-born residents are from Asia.
