Please, share your personal and cultural background with our readers. Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (actually Bayside a suburb/village of Milwaukee near Lake Michigan). I was raised Jewish. We kept Kosher in the home and attended a Conservative Temple. I was Bat Mitzvah at 13 years old.

Please share with us a current typical day or week in your everyday personal life.

A current typical day for me pre-COVID-19 would look like this:

Three to 4 times a week I play tennis 2-3 USTA matches, 1 social doubles match, and a group and private lesson.

When I am not playing tennis, I am in a SPIN or weightlifting class.

Every Thursday I spend one hour with my personal trainer in the gym. In the afternoon I am working. 99% of my business is done online through social media( Facebook, Instagram). I also have a business on Poshmark and Mercari.

Tell us why you do, what you do, for a living.

I have a few businesses. I am a network marketer with ZYIA ACTIVE and ISAGENIX.  I help others look and feel their best through social media. I provide value and inspiration for women in their 40 and 50s.  I am also a certified Life Coach and Transformation Coach. I truly enjoy empowering others and watching people grow mentally and spiritually! All people matter and they get to see that they do.

How did you end up in your line of work?  Was it accidental or were you strategic about it?

I actually was not looking to be a network marketer. I was a teacher for over 20 years and was looking to earn an income from home. I liked the idea of helping others and creating residual income. I started as a consumer/product user for both companies and others noticed that I was changing. I shared and the rest is history.

Tell us about the factors that shaped your career and business aspirations.

I feel that my career as a teacher provided me with the necessary skill set need to connect and inspire others.  Also playing tennis has taught me to be strong and resilient. I do not give up easily and always strive to be better today than yesterday.

Please share with us a current typical day or week in your everyday professional life.

Every day I show up no matter what. I post online at least 3 times a day and do a LIVE video one time. I am actively involved in both my communities on Facebook. I have a tennis community with over 29,000 members and a health/fitness/activewear community with close to 500 now. I engage with people every afternoon by reaching out through messenger on Facebook.  I have created a brand for myself and work around that brand every day on social.

Share how you balance the work-life challenges…what have been the rewards.

I really don’t have any work-life challenges right now as my twins are 23 years old. When they were in HS it was more challenging to work my business online with all of their demands. Travel was challenging too.

What advice would you have for others in the business sector trying to make it day after day?

To work on yourself every day! To believe that you can achieve whatever you put your mind to. To work hard at creating your brand on social media. It pays off.

Did your background/ethnicity create any obstacles for you?  Any advantages?  How so?

I did not find that my background created any obstacles for me.

What inspires you in your work life?  What turns you off?

I am inspired by seeing how many lives have been changed by my posts on Social Media. I receive such beautiful messages and inboxes. It makes me want to keep providing value and support.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Relax and know you are enough. Don’t sweat the small stuff.

Do you think you have ever truly “made it” in life?

Not really because there is always something to work on.

If you could have dinner with any person—living or dead–who would it be? Why?

I would have to say, Oprah. Love her energy and mind!

What is your favorite quote/saying? Give us your own personal quote to commemorate at LBT.

I am not here to convince but to educate, teach, and inspire.

Anything else you would like to share.

Love what I get to do…. I am truly blessed and never take anything for granted!
