Derek Gutierrez Golf Career Professional, Mentorship & Golf Safety- Part 2

In part 2 Latin Biz Today’s Tina Trevino chat with Derek Gutierrez, PGA GM/Director of Golf, Santa Ana Golf Corporation about his mentor, responsible safety steps during Covid, inclusivity in golf and diversity programs.

In part 1 Derek and Tina covered his exposure as a sport and trajectory into golf as a career.

Derek shares the PGA established Covid guidelines to ensure golfers and enjoy the game in a safe environment, for example on person per golf cart, ample sanitizers, the use of masks for employees and guests when in close proximity and the removal of water and ball washers.

Tina also asked Derek about the impact of mentors, specifically PGA Professional, Tony Martinez and his leadership go the PGA Section stewardship. Derek also talks about about PGA programs like PGA Works.
