Cesar Chavez Plants the Seeds of Comedic Success

Marking his distribution independence, on July 4, 2012, Scott launched lolflix, stand-up comedy films. This new venture was self-financed and marks a new way of distributing content directly to the comedy fan, with no middle man involved, thus reducing the price point down. Much like iTunes and Netflix, lolflix allows comedy fans to download, own and stream the entire catalog of LOL Comedy Inc.

Scott, Tommy Davidon, and the Chocolate Sundaes Comedy troupe shooting Chocolate Sundaes Show

• Scott is now working on a novel that chronicles his past and present. A screenplay is also being developed about his time growing up in the UFW. The story centers on Cesar’s death and how it reunited him with his childhood friends Anthony Chavez, Emilio Huerta and Paul Chavez for those few historic days.

• A galley show is also in the works that will feature one-of-a-kind photos from his family’s collection of UFW images mostly taken by his father, Ruben.

• Scott has been working tirelessly delivering new TV specials for Showtime Networks’ 2013 season and building his LOLFLIX.com venture.

• El Rey of Comedy’s early roots in the Chavez farm workers movement helped him grow a crop of great talent and showcase it to the world.

• Stay tuned for the 5th annual LOL Comedy Festival announcement produced by LOL Comedy Inc. This four day festival will be held in the Southwest in the summer of 2013.
