Michael Ambrosino
Author, researcher, Michael Ambrosino is a technology catalyst, writer, designer, broadcast journalist, producer, and radio host. In 2019 he founded 33third.org, an independent platform featuring Currents, a three hour stream of contemporary Jazz; Tapas experimental music sets; and the audio documentary program Dialogs featuring a unique series conversations between world-class musicians and their music. Michael writes about music through the lens of the history, culture, and politics that shapes artist's creative process. As a technology security and privacy advocate, Michael's research and writing explores how technological disruption effects art, culture and society at large. In 2018 he conducted a research project on the ecology of Jazz as understood by JazzWeek's broadcasters, radio personnel, promoters, record label owners and musicians. The study was presented at the JazzWeek Summit broadcasting conference that he coordinated that year as part of the 2018 San Jose Summer Jazz Festival in San Jose, California.
