Mexican immigrant Leonel Manzano won a silver medal in the 1500m run. The U.S. citizen demonstrated pride in his country of birth and his country of residence by carrying two flags in his victory lap around the stadium. Following his second-place finish, Manzano plans to continue work with his track meet, the Manzano Mile, continue racing in national and international competitions, and continue training for Rio in 2016.
We All Celebrate
We can all agree that the Latino Olympians are a gift not only to our community but to the United States as a whole. They represent the future of the country, and the Hispanic business community celebrates all of their athletic accomplishments!
